Vertiv restructures its operations at the Arnstorf site and relocates individual production areas to the Czech Republic. As a result, the Control Room Infrastructure business unit (formerly Technical Furniture GmbH) is additionally strengthened. Since 1982, the company has been planning and manufacturing technical work furniture and other products for equipping safety-critical 24/7 control rooms for the police, fire brigade and rescue services, but also for industrial control rooms. “In recent years, this niche market has changed considerably; both technical and ergonomic requirements have increasingly come to the fore.
So we no longer speak of individual products, but rather of a perfectly harmonised overall solution that is adapted to the individual requirements of our customers and their intended use,” says Tim Holzapfel, Director of the Business Unit, who has been with the company for 16 years. Due to the planned relocation of the electronics cabinet production from Arnstorf to the company’s own plant in the Czech Republic, additional resources in the area of production and logistics can now be assigned to the Control Room Infrastructure (CRI) business unit. Thus, in future, a total of approx. 80 employees will work in this department in order to deliver a turnkey solution from consulting and project planning to construction and production to installation on site.
CRI is active worldwide and works with customers in various industries in the special field of technical workspaces. “The expansion of our area supports us very much in being even more agile and efficient than before. In this way, we are making our contribution to safe and ergonomic working in the demanding 24/7 environment,” describes Holzapfel and looks positively to an exciting new year in 2021.
